COLLEGIO DRESS CODE


SCHOOL UNIFORM

Malay College’s school uniform is not an ordinary secondary school outfit. Instead of green trousers, the Malay College boys here been wearing a white trousers as it is a tradition to be kept here. The school’s shirt must be in white colour for every student and the students are advised to wear a long-sleeve white shirt for a better dressing during a proper events or activities. The shoes must be black in colour and it is compulsory for every students to wear a leather shoe. 
There’s an extra requirement dressing code for the Malay College Prefectorial Board members and Malay College Students Union members. The prefects will be wearing a customized maroon blazer stitched with a school logo at the left chest side along with the school uniform inside. Meanwhile, the Students Union member’s will be wearing a common black blazer along with the school uniform inside.
School uniform is wear by the students on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday school hours and during Saturday inspection activity. 


FULL MALAY UNIFORM

Full Malay is a compulsory dress code for every students to be obey during Friday's school hours. Students also wear Full Malay attire to Masjid Ridzwaniah to perform their Friday’s prayer. Every students will be wearing a full set of baju melayu in white colour along with college sampin, while for the prefects, they will be wearing a full set of baju melayu in black colour along with college sampin. Student’s nametag is attached slightly above the top pocket. A pair of leather shoe is put on along with the baju melayu and sampin to make it a complete attire of Full Malay. Not to forget, in Perak, the baju melayu must be in ‘cekak musang’ collar type, instead of ‘teluk belanga’ collar type which commonly used in Johore.


COLOURED FULL MALAY 

Coloured Full Malay is slightly different with Full Malay attire. In terms of college’s Coloured Full Malay, the only difference between this dress code and the Full Malay dress code is the colour of the baju melayu. Students are free to wear any colour of baju melayu except for white and black colour. Both ‘cekak musang’ and ‘teluk belanga’ collar type are allowed in this dress code. 
Events which required students to dress up Coloured Full Malay attire are during Program Penghayatan Al-Quran (PPAQ), MCKK Eidulfitri Feast, Isra’ & Mikraj programme and etc.


SMART CASUAL

Smart casual is an attire which usually wear by the students oftenly during official college events. In terms college’s smart casual attire, the students are free to wear a full set of suit (blazers+trousers) or any kind of long-sleeve shirt along with slack pants or khaki trousersThe students are free to choose either to wear a tie or not. A pair of black leather shoe and black loafers are only allowed. 
Events which required students to dress up smart casual attire are MCKK O.S.C.A.R. night, Form 1 Orientation Week Closing Ceremony, MCKK Got Talent, Drama Theater by the IBDP students, MCKK P7s Annual Dinner and etc.


CREATIVE SMART CASUAL 

Creative Smart Casual is an attire which usually wear by the students oftenly during  college events. In terms of Creative Smart Casual, students are free to wear anything on their own. Every dressing shown by the students marks the creativity of the students to present their flair to rock their style according to the events. 
There are no specific events that require students to dress up creative smart casual attire but usually students will do so during MCKK O.S.C.A.R. night, MCKK Got Talent, Drama Theater by the IBDP students and etc.

CASUAL

Casual attire usually wear by the students oftenly for a casual events, either indoor events or outdoor events. In terms of college’s casual attire, students need to wear a collar t-shirt along with black slack pants or any matching trousers. The shirt must be tuck-in along with the pants and belt is compulsory to be wear. A pair of black leather shoe and black loafers are only allowed. 

Events which required students to dress up smart casual attire are Open Day MCKK, Karnival Bahasa Antarabangsa (KBA), Malay College Youth Development Summit (MCYDS) and etc.


CHEERING ATTIRE

Cheering attire is a unique dress code of this prestigious college . The cheering shirt is designed in four main colours which is white, red, black and yellow which represents the college logo. White trousers is wear along the cheering shirt and the cheering shirt is tucked in. Black leather belt is compulsory to be wear. The shoes must be black in colour and it is compulsory for every students to wear a leather shoe. The students are required to dress up the Cheering attire as it is a formal attire for the MCKK Cheering Squad. Therefore, the shirt is given the name, cheering shirt. Students are required to dress up Cheering attire to support and cheer for the college team.

‘BALIK KAMPUNG’ ATTIRE

There are two types of ‘Balik Kampung’ attire that students can wear. Firstly, a baju batik which in yellow colour and secondly, a black buttoned t-shirt collar with a college logo stitched at the left chest side. Both must be wear along with a black slack pants and for the baju batik, there’s no need to tuck in while for the black collar t-shirt, the students compulsory to tuck in their shirt. ‘Balik Kampung’ attire is usually wear by the students during the day they going back home for holidays.
